See the beautiful Mokelumne River with professional guides and gear

Get up close and personal with the river you love on a raft trip down the Mokelumne. There’s nothing like experiencing the river from the water!

Respected adventure outfitter O.A.R.S. will run three raft trips for us down the beautiful Electra-Middle Bar run on Saturday, May 26. The next day, O.A.R.S. will run trips to benefit the Calaveras Youth Mentoring Program.

This is a wonderful introductory raft trip with fun, splashy rapids — perfect for families, young people (age 6 and up, subject to change depending on river conditions) and seniors. No rafting experience required. O.A.R.S. provides professional rafts and top-notch gear for your trip, which will begin and end in Jackson (Saturday) or Mokelumne Hill (Sunday).

The cost is $70 person. Saturday’s trips benefit the Foothill Conservancy’s efforts to protect and restore the Mokelumne River. Sunday’s trips benefit the youth mentoring program in Calaveras County.

Read more and see a video of a past trip on our website.

Thank Senator Feinstein for protecting the Wild and Scenic Merced River
Recently, Sen. Dianne Feinstein agreed – for now – to drop efforts to enact legislation that would have allowed a larger dam on the Merced River to inundate a portion of the river designated a National Wild and Scenic River. Please read more on the American Whitewater website and thank Sen. Feinstein for acting to protect one of our nation’s river treasures. .
