As our summer Open House, MLH will be joining producer member Indira Clark of Tyson Hill Farm in Waterford for their 8th Annual Tomato Tasting and Summer Potluck Picnic.
We’d like to invite you to our 8th annual tomato tasting and summer picnic on Sunday, August 21st. This is a low keyed summer afternoon with farm tours, contests with “fabulous prizes,” and delicious food (that’s your part). Last year we had a blindfolded tasting of different colored tomatoes. There have been tomato tosses of various sorts, including the 3-person catapult (across the irrigation ditch and into the plum patch).) – There’s more than one way to compost an over-ripe tomato! This year there’ll be the opportunity to join in the Cute Little Tomato dance, and who knows what else?
Do you have a favorite tomato in your garden? – bring it along, guest tomatoes are most welcome!
