Press Release from Motherlode Holistic Wellness Center

Motherlode Holistic Wellness Center, formerly Motherlode Holistic Connection, celebrates it new, expanded location Aug. 1 with a Grand Re-Opening party Saturday, Aug. 20.

The new center, located at 1001 Broadway (at Clinton Road across from the California Highway Patrol in the former Mental Health building) offers enhanced services and amenities to visitors and clients. During the Aug. 20 event, visitors will have a chance to view the site, meet the practitioners, enjoy freshly grilled organic vegetables, receive discounts and purchase gift certificates.

“The new location has more space and greater parking, and is completely handicap accessible with room for more wellness professionals to join our team and share the complex with us,” said center director/owner and hypnotherapist Brandy Astwood.

In addition to Astwood’s hypnotherapy practice and childbirth education services, the center offers six therapy rooms shared by nine practitioners who offer holistic wellness services in the areas of hypnotherapy, pre-natal and post-partum coaching, massage, comparative religion classes, alternative medicine, nutritional counseling, yoga, tai chi, Reiki, weight loss coaching, and other alternative and complementary health therapies.

“Holistic wellness is a concept that incorporates an individual’s body, mind and spirit in a complementary effort to achieve optimal health,” Astwood noted. “More and more physicians are seeing the benefit of integrating treatments such as acupuncture, aromatherapy, hypnotherapy and massage with more traditional types of treatment and diagnostic tests for many chronic and acute ailments. This approach can reduce or even eliminate the need for prescription medications, which in turn can reduce the side-effects and exorbitant expenses of medications.’’
