The Plymouth Community Market opens on Thursday, August 5, in McGee Park on Main Street in Plymouth. The market runs from 4 to 7 pm every Thursday of August and September. Co-sponsored by the Amador Farmers’ Market and the Plymouth Foothills Rotary Club, this short-term market serves as a fundraiser for the Plymouth Elementary School. Like the other farmers’ markets, this market offers live music and great shopping from local craft and produce vendors, but has the fun addition of food from local restaurants, and wine tasting by local wineries. A different restaurant and winery is featured each week. Customers can purchase a light dinner and a glass of wine or several tastes, do their weekly shopping, and enjoy the music and social atmosphere in the lovely setting of the park. The first market will have Herb Boxhorn providing music, Vino Noceto offering wine tasting, and Taste Restaurant creating $10 dinners-to-go. For more information about this market, please call the market manager at 209-419-2503, or Rotary representative Jim Gullett of Vino Noceto at 209-245-6556.
