Motherlode Harvest: Current Products

Hi, all–
I’m sorry to get this to you so late– I was working all afternoon, then out this evening.
Please remember I need your order by NOON on Sunday, and produce is purchased on a first-come, first-served basis (based on the order of emails received) due to limited supply.
Please include a daytime/cell phone number with your order to be sure we have it.
Pickup will be Tuesday from 5 to 6 pm at the Golden Country Produce Stand in Sutter Hill next to the Italian Picnic Grounds.
Also, we are having a co-op meeting after the order distribution on Tuesday at 6:15 at Deborah Budrick’s house in Amador City. (Directions to follow.) If you want to get involved, please attend. RSVP to Deborah at budrick@dishmail.net, or let me know with your order. This is the proposed agenda:
Old business:
1. Update on grant proposal
2. Review of crop planning chart
3. report from technology committee on web site etc.
4. Potential number of subscribers for spring quarter

New business:
proposals:
need a publicity committee to coordinate these efforts
quarterly open house on selected member farms (2 per quarter, rotating?)
farm/farmer profiles in subscriber newsletters
educational brochure on why locally grown/why csa (CAFF assistance with this?)
regular articles in local newspapers–about farms, what is in season and why eat in season, what is csa, why locally grown etc. etc.
subscriber meetings before srping quarter and in fall
informational tables at all health fairs, meetings etc. e.g. health luncheon coming up in March
speaking at local groups and schools
produce and distribute each fresh/eat local type guide (CAFF and Farms of Amador and Calaveras Grown?)
10. potential building offered in San Andreas?
11. Connecting to low income–WIC, food stamps, elder stamps etc.
